me

Although a BIO page is suppose to be me telling you all about myself and why you should pick me as your photographer, I'm going to go a different route with this because over the past year I have received many emails and facebook messages from clients and friends asking me where I've been! So here is my update.  (PS: If you want to know if we'd be a good fit, send me a message and lets chat!)

MY OVERDUE UPDATE

So lets get everyone caught up on me and what the heck has been going on!  Although I didn't take "time off" from photography, I definitely stayed very low key over the past year+ and took on photography jobs but didn't do a whole lot of posting and sharing.

When I was about ready to share again, my website host/server had a huge crash and wiped out my entire website.  Its taken me this long to get it somewhat back up (Was busy packing boxes, selling a house and buying a house).  But here we are ... trying to do a bio page from scratch.  So I'm just going to ramble on for a few minutes until I fill up this little text box.

2018 has brough with it many exciting changes!  I changed my business name and decided to just go with my first and middle name. It is so much easier this way and I should have done this in 2009 when I opened my business.  So any new photographers starting out, if you're thinking of going with your name, you can save yourself some hassle and just do it.  You won't regret it.

Another major change is my address!  I've moved from Petawawa to the Big City of Foresters Falls.  This is great news as now I can offer more sessions in the Pembroke, Cobden, Beachburg and Renfrew area! For my Petawawa Peeps, I'm still in Petawawa 5 days a week so we are all good.

Most of my nights are still spent in an arena, driving to an arena, thinking about driving to an arena, driving home from an arena ..... so nothing has changed this way.  My trusty fridge calendar is all filled with practice times and game times.  Three colours fill each day.  One for each person who has a hockey schedule to attend to.  Its hectic, crazy, insane and they say "one day" I'll miss it.

A RANDOM THING TO SUPPORT MY PICTURE CHOICE ON THIS PAGE:

Obviously you've noticed the lovely girls in a field I've posted with this page so I feel like I should touch on a new love in my life.  Dairy Cows.  One in particular, who isn't actually in the noted picture (go figure) but she is so amazingly sweet and gentle.  I had no idea that a creature so huge and massive could be so gentle, kind and affectionate.  I spend many nights sitting with her and telling her all of my hopes and dreams, hiccups in life, worries, challenges and successes.  She never talks back to me but on nights where she is particularily attentive, she will put her big old face on my shoulder and let me go on and on like she's truly listening and has my back.

LESSONS LEARNED THIS PAST YEAR THAT I'LL LEAVE YOU WITH ......

1.  Be yourself.  People don't have to like you and you don't have to care.

2.  Always be mindful who you keep as company. Not everyone who smiles at you is your friend.

3.  Be kind to unkind people.  They need it the most.

4.  You are enough.
